What are your candles made from and why?
Our candles are made from a carefully selected soy wax blend. After months of testing we chose this wax for its consistent fragrance throw and reliable burn performance. The blend is cruelty free and vegan friendly.
Does soy wax burn better than paraffin?
No single wax is inherently better; burn quality depends on the right combination of wax, wick and fragrance. When those elements are matched correctly a candle will burn cleanly and throw scent well regardless of base wax. We test each formula to ensure strong, even burns.
What makes your candles so good?
Decades of home fragrance experience guide every step of our process. Each fragrance is chosen for character and performance, then tested in small batches to confirm scent, burn time and safety before it reaches customers.
Why do some candles blacken the glass and do yours?
Blackening is caused by soot from poor combustion. We design and test our candles to minimise soot by using the correct wick, wax and fragrance levels. Follow our How to Burn Your Candle guide to avoid soot and get the best results. Further info here.
Why don’t you colour your candles?
We avoid dyes for two reasons. Dyes can interfere with burning by clogging wicks and increasing the risk of soot and tunnelling. Natural coloured candles also sit well in any home, letting you choose fragrance for a room without worrying about matching colours.
Why don’t you use glitter or mica in wax melts?
We keep our main wax melts neutral because colour and sparkle do not improve fragrance throw. Our new geometric range provides colour without glitter because glitter adds no scent benefit and can create mess. Check independent reviews to see performance feedback.
How long do your wax melts last?
Customer feedback and repeated tests show a single cube can last around 10–12 hours, though results vary by burner and heat source. We test conservatively and continue to monitor real customer experience.
I changed my mind about my order. What are my options?
Contact us as soon as possible. If your order has not been dispatched we can cancel or amend it. If it has already been dispatched you can return unwanted items via our returns process once they arrive.
Are your candles handmade?
Yes. We make small batches in our store so we can control temperatures, fragrance addition and wick placement. Making by hand lets us check every candle for quality and consistency. If you visit the shop you might see us making them.
You are a new business why should I trust you?
